Yellow Speed Racing Club Performance 3-Way coilovers for the Volkswagen Passat 4Motion B6 3C (2005-2009). They are built for drivers who do track days, club events and weekend racing but still use the car on the road, with adjustable damping that can be set firm for the circuit or softer for daily driving.

Damping is adjustable three ways: low-speed compression, high-speed compression and rebound are all set independently, and full-length ride height adjustment lets you set the height without changing spring preload or damper travel.

External reservoirs, either hose-mounted or piggyback depending on the car, increase the oil capacity of each damper and help it shed heat. That keeps the damping consistent through long track sessions. The damper bodies are electroplated to resist corrosion.

• For saloon and estate models. Also fits TDI model. Fits 4Motion models only.

Installation

The coilovers replace the standard dampers and springs. Set the ride height and spring preload, let the suspension settle, then recheck the height and have a four-wheel alignment carried out. We recommend professional fitting.

Please note: Pillow ball upper mounts make a small amount of noise. This is normal and does not affect performance or safety. Yellow Speed Racing also offer hardened rubber upper mounts (R/U) for quieter running.

How is the damping adjusted?

Low-speed compression, high-speed compression and rebound each have their own adjuster.

What does the external reservoir do?

It holds extra oil, which helps the damper stay cool and keeps the damping consistent during long track sessions.

Can I use these on the road?

Yes. Set the damping softer for daily driving and firmer for track days.

Can I adjust the ride height without changing preload?

Yes. Full-length adjustment lets you set the ride height without changing spring preload.

Will the pillow ball mounts be noisy?

They make a small amount of noise, which is normal. Hardened rubber upper mounts (R/U) are available for quieter running.

Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting?

Yes. Changing the ride height alters the suspension geometry, so a four-wheel alignment should be carried out once the car has settled.
